Sky will focus on achieving the comprehensive migration of MKR to SKY next year and launching more subDAO.
Odaily Planet Daily News Sky co-founder Rune Christensen said he will invest more effort in 2025 to fully migrate MKR to SKY, in part to help eliminate confusion around MKR and SKY. Christensen said this won’t put the funds of MKR holders at risk, “the upcoming proposal will migrate as a requirement to obtain availability from tokens.” It is stated that updates and more details regarding the migration and conversion of MKR to SKY will be announced at some point in 2025. “Our goal is to ensure that CoinGecko and exchanges only support SKY, while MKR is just a traditional wrapper representing 24,000 SKY per MKR,” he added.
Sky also plans to launch more subDAOs, known as Stars, in 2025. Christensen said that the change in SKY token economics, making it deflationary, has opened the door to a new Star strategy, under which more subDAOs can be launched and have autonomy. As part of the new model, subDAO will be launched with a foundation that controls the employee bonus pool and makes rapid decisions.
