Gate has completed a major upgrade to its cross-exchange trading capabilities and has officially opened the CrossEx feature application portal. This upgrade focuses on key demands in multi-exchange trading environments, enhancing margin flexibility, capital utilization efficiency, and strategy execution performance to further improve overall cross-exchange trading efficiency.
In addition, Gate will soon introduce the CrossEx Trading Competition, encouraging API traders to fully leverage CrossEx capabilities and explore more advanced cross-exchange trading strategies.
I. CrossEx Trading Upgrade: Introduction of Individual Exchange Margin Mode
To better address users’ needs for capital efficiency, fee optimization, and diversified strategy execution, Gate has significantly enhanced the CrossEx margin model with the following upgrades:
1. Cross-Exchange Margin Mode (Existing Mode)
- USDT can be shared as margin across Gate, Binance, and OKX.
- Supports unified margin management across exchanges, enabling flexible capital allocation and improved execution efficiency for cross-exchange strategies.
2. Individual Exchange Margin Mode (New Mode)
- Each exchange now supports multiple cryptocurrencies as margin on a per-exchange basis.
- Supported margin assets include: BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, XRP, BNB, SOL , and more.
- Independent risk control and margin management for each asset.
- Supports both spot and perpetual futures trading .
- Ideal for multi-asset strategies, single-exchange hedging, and independent risk management scenarios.
Additionally, users can flexibly choose between cross-exchange margin mode and individual exchange margin mode through different sub-accounts (different UIDs), enabling more granular capital allocation and risk management.

Gate will soon launch the CrossEx Trading Competition. This event is designed for API traders and features multiple incentive tracks.
The main track ranking will be evaluated based on trading volume and stability, with top participants eligible to unlock up to 500,000 USDT in interest-free borrowing credit .
Competition scores will start accumulating after official registration. Completing CrossEx activation and conducting trading tests in advance will help participants achieve a more competitive ranking during the official competition phase.
