  • Chainlink partners with GAKS to make KRW stablecoins more reliable, secure, and globally trusted.

  • The alliance now combines fintech, compliance, security, and oracle expertise for stronger stablecoin standards.

  • WEMADE and Chainlink aim to expand real-world use of KRW stablecoins across Korea and beyond.

Chainlink Labs has joined the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoins (GAKS), led by WEMADE, a platform with over 600 million users. This partnership aims to advance KRW-backed stablecoin standards in Korea.

As per the announcement, Chainlink will assist in ensuring interoperability, compliance, and data privacy for the alliance. This marks an important milestone for GAKS, which was launched in November 2025. The primary goal of GAKS was to increase the usage of Korean stablecoins in the real world. With Chainlink now on board, WEMADE hopes to enhance its market competitiveness globally and create a trusted KRW stablecoin system.

Chainlink is the industry standard oracle platform that enables the integration of real-world data and blockchain applications. As such, many prominent financial institutions, including Swift, UBS, Euroclear, Mastercard, and Fidelity International, have turned to Chainlink.

Moreover, the platform has successfully brought critical U.S. government data on-chain, demonstrating reliability for institutional use. “WEMADE and the GAKS alliance are building critical infrastructure for the next phase of digital assets in Korea. Through the strategic alliance with WEMADE, Chainlink is providing industry expertise and key opportunities for GAKS members to leverage the Chainlink platform,” said Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs.

Strengthening Technical Standards and Compliance

The GAKS alliance now spans security, regulatory compliance, fintech, and data infrastructure. Previously, it partnered with Chainalysis for blockchain analytics, CertiK for security audits, and SentBe for remittance solutions. Now, Chainlink adds strategic support for technical standardization and data integrity.

Additionally, its expertise ensures KRW stablecoins remain stable and compliant with global financial market requirements. WEMADE Vice President Kim SukWhan emphasized, “Chainlink’s participation marks a significant milestone for GAKS in securing global-level technical excellence and trust.”
