Bank of America to Open Advisors' Access to Recommend Crypto Assets
According to Reuters, Bank of America announced that starting January 5, 2026, wealth advisors at its Private Bank, Merrill, and Merrill Edge divisions will be able to recommend crypto asset-related ETPs/ETFs to clients, with no account asset threshold required. Previously, only clients meeting certain asset requirements could access Bitcoin ETFs from early 2024. This move upgrades the service from "executing client orders" to "providing allocation advice."
