I just saw some discussions about what QFS is and whether it can replace SWIFT.

Actually, this is a pretty interesting topic but also causes a lot of misunderstandings in the community.

There are many people who believe that the Quantum Financial System (QFS) will be a revolution, using AI and quantum computing to process all transactions, thereby eliminating corruption and issues within the traditional banking system.
But in reality, there is no evidence that such a system has been implemented or even exists.

What I found is that financial institutions are working on different parts of this technology.
Many banks are developing quantum computers, deploying AI models, and using blockchain to make transactions more secure.
But these are small steps, not a complete QFS.

An interesting point is that countries are actively researching central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) — according to the CBDC Tracker, most countries are at some stage of this process.
This could be a more practical step forward compared to QFS.

But looking into the future, integrating quantum technology into finance will definitely bring benefits: increased computing power, better data analysis, stronger security, optimized portfolios, more accurate option pricing, and even high-frequency trading will improve.

QFS may never become a reality as initially envisioned, but those technologies will certainly be adopted in parts.
The financial industry is in a transitional phase — traditional institutions face challenges, and new systems, possibly built on cryptocurrencies, will emerge in the coming years.
What’s certain is that the future will be different from today.
